Representing the next generation of art collector
Founding Story
The Noeme Foundation was founded in early 2025 by Enoch Tang, a New York-based finance professional and cultural founder whose path into the art world began after college, when she moved to New York and joined the Young Patrons program at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
At the time, Enoch was working in finance in a trading role. Her days moved quickly, shaped by markets, numbers, and the pressure of the immediate moment. Art offered another sense of time. It reminded her that value is not only financial, and that beauty, memory, culture, and imagination often move on a much longer horizon.
That experience shaped the vision behind Noeme. Enoch saw many smart, curious professionals around her, especially in finance and tech, who wanted to engage with art but did not always know where to begin. The art world could feel opaque from the outside, not because people lacked interest, but because they lacked context, access, and a welcoming point of entry.
Noeme was created to be that doorway.
The name Noeme speaks to thought, perception, and the moment when looking becomes thinking. For the foundation, art is not only something to be seen. It is something that changes how people understand the world and themselves within it.
Through intimate walkthroughs, studio visits, salons, and conversations, Noeme helps organic, passion-forward collectors learn faster, look deeper, and collect with confidence.
What “Noeme” means
The name Noeme comes from the idea of thought, perception, and the object of consciousness.
For us, it speaks to the moment when looking becomes thinking. Art is not only something we see. It is something that changes how we perceive, remember, and understand the world.
Noeme is built around that transformation. We are interested in the space between an artwork and the person standing in front of it. What do we notice? What do we feel? What do we carry away? What does art allow us to see that we might otherwise miss?
That is the spirit behind the name.
What Sets Us Apart
Clarity first, connoisseurship always.
We do not believe that making art accessible means making it shallow. We believe serious art can be discussed in language that is warm, clear, and human.
Our community is made up of people who are curious before they are credentialed. Many are early collectors, aspiring collectors, or professionals who are just beginning to understand how art might become part of their lives.
We are here to meet them where they are, then help them go deeper.
